In November 2014 Taylor Swift removed all of her music from Spotify with her record label giving an initial statement of, "we believe fans should be able to listen to music wherever and whenever they want, and that artists have an absolute right to be paid for their work and protected from piracy."
Now come June 8th, 2017 and all of Swift's music has returned to Spotify, Pandora, Tidal and Amazon. Nielson Music reports that streams for last week were 51.53 million in the U.S. and the streams in the previous were 7.3 million. Billboard calculates that her catalog would gross an estimated $418,000 due to an average blended per-stream audio-on-demand rate and publishing royalties. Not too bad for two weeks worth of streaming.
