Luke Bryan tops Billboard 200 albums chart

Luke Bryan‘s third Billboard 200 No. 1 album, Kill the Lights, landed at the top of the chart after moving 345,000 album equivalent units in its first week of release, including 325,000 album sales.

Following at No. 2 is the debut of Dr. Dre‘s Compton, his first album in nearly 16 years, which moved 295,000 equivalent album units (including 276,000 album sales).

The Now 55 compilation debuted at No. 3 with 76,000 units (all of which came from album sales.)  Following at No. 4 is the debut of TobyMac‘s This Is Not a Test, which moved 38,000 units, including 35,000 album sales. Taylor Swift‘s 1989 drops from No. 3 to No. 5.

Ed Sheeran‘s falls two spots to No. 6; Future‘s DS2 drops from No. 2 to No. 7; the Descendants soundtrack tumbles from No. 1 to No. 8; Sam Hunt‘s Montevallo falls from No. 6 to No. 9; and Drake‘s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late remains at No. 10.
